Located at 19 Thanon Tani (on the 6th floor of the The Gravitique Hotel) just a couple of streets up from Khao San Road, Sanay Rooftop Bar offers an elevated rooftop experience with city views, cocktails and a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere.

About / Atmosphere

The atmosphere at Sanay is best described chic, calm and sophisticated, offering a respite from the street-level chaos of Khao San. You may forget you’re in the middle of Bangkok. The bar opens in the afternoon around 3pm and stays open until about 2 am, giving you the chance to catch sunset views and later-night drinks. The seating is lounge-style, with terrace space and panoramic skyline views, making it feel more upscale than many backpacker bars in the area.

Music

Sanay Rooftop Bar features live music on selected evenings that compliment the venue’s chilled vibe. Generally the live music is of the acoustic duo type, usually starting around 7pm and on Friday & Saturday there will often be two bands playing. Expect relaxed styles of music that complement the rooftop terrace.

Food & Drinks

The bar serves up a refined selection of hand-crafted cocktails, mocktails, local craft beers and premium spirits, often featuring drink specials and promotional bundles (including buy-one-get-one-free offers).

On the food front it’s modern authentic Thai and international cuisine. Standout dishes include pineapple fried rice with chicken, their signature Tani Pad Thai, duck leg and special papaya salad. While the menu leans upscale and prices reflect the rooftop setting, the quality of the drinks and meals pairs well with the city-view atmosphere.
